To open the 2017-2018 Brooklyn Nets season, Translation partnered with Versus to create the Barclay Center’s Game Opening video. Taking inspiration from the Nets’ new marketing manifesto, this video kicks off the starting lineup each night by taking fans on a journey through Brooklyn, the County of Kings. Brooklyn becomes a place where street signs and store-fronts are adorned with Nets players’ names and motivational lines. Where game highlights play out around town in windows and on signs. It’s a place where neon lights the night sky in Coney Island, shouting to the masses, that Brooklyn is alive.
We Go Hard
Shot and directed by Versus Director Damien Drake, this video transcended the normal to find authentic, real-life Brooklyn in a stylized filmic manner. Iconic locations were captured and later re-designed to feature the Nets team.
